Five people, including a real estate agent, her husband and an eyelash technician, have filed a lawsuit seeking in excess of $2-million from the estate of alleged serial fraudster Arash Missaghi, his family members and several business partners.The five plaintiffs allege in the lawsuit they were victims of fraudulent misrepresentation, embezzlement, theft and misappropriation of funds by Mr. Missaghi and his associates, among other allegations. British Columbia’s police watchdog has been called in after RCMP say they shot a man in an incident that also left an officer with serious injuries.Richmond RCMP say they got a call from the local fire department Thursday night to help respond to a man who was allegedly setting a sign on fire.They say the man was “uncooperative” with officers, and a struggle ensued resulting in police shooting the suspect.

Mounties have significantly increased the reward for information in an effort to apprehend the remaining suspect in a deadly roadside shooting near Calgary.“A decision to offer $10,000 for any information leading to Mr. Elijah Blake Strawberry’s arrest is not something that happens often, but it does demonstrate the Alberta RCMP’s commitment to follow all avenues available to find Mr. Strawberry in a timely manner,” Staff Sgt.
