What if Time Built the Universe? A Radical New View of Reality
Time, like a neutral observer, flows as a fixed Past and a fixed future. Our free will is the present moment, where decisions shape the future. In this framework, Time is the “God” of the Universe, observing our choices without interfering, much like how some religions view divine presence.
Imagine our entire Universe isn’t just space, but a kind of vibrating, twisting cosmic goo (a humming, spinning fabric of reality). Think of it like a giant, invisible ocean that’s constantly humming and subtly turning. In my theory, everything we experience as “reality” actually comes from Time itself flowing through this cosmic goo, almost like a giant musical instrument (a cosmic orchestra). I’m suggesting a radical new way to look at things: instead of Time simply moving through Space, Space and all its properties emerge from a fundamental “field” (cosmic fabric) that’s inherently driven by Time. It’s a powerful shift in perspective, and it aligns conceptually with some fascinating ideas:
- Dr. Kurt Gödel’s solutions to Einstein’s equations allow for scenarios where Time can loop back on itself, making time travel both forwards and backwards a possibility.
- John Wheeler’s “It from Bit” idea, which proposes that the physical world (It) arises from information (Bit).
- The holographic principle suggests that all the information in our 3D universe might be encoded on a distant 2D surface, much like a hologram.
Now, imagine this cosmic goo is made up of countless tiny, self-updating, corkscrew-like rotations (spinning spirals, like miniature tops). I call this a “gyroscopic network,” and it offers a completely new way to think about how the Universe “computes” reality. Instead of using tiny switches like in a computer chip (on/off switches), each point in this network “computes” reality through its twisting interactions (spinning swirls that dance together). In this “analog” computing vision, where things operate on a continuous scale rather than just on/off, feedback and coherence (smooth teamwork among the swirls) come from these rotational connections (spinning links), not from electrical charges or the flow of disorder (random energy flow). This could be similar to how neural systems in our brains work, or how spin networks are thought to operate in a theory called loop quantum gravity (a theory of Quantum Space). The amazing thing is that this rotational structure of the Universe isn’t centered anywhere; it’s encoded everywhere [no single hub]. This solves the philosophical puzzle of “where is the center of the Universe?” and creates a holographic condition:
- Every single point in this cosmic goo reflects and contributes to the overall bending and twisting of space (the Universe’s curves and swirls).
- It also nicely ties into the idea that the electron’s corkscrew shape isn’t just a unique feature, but a tiny example of the Universe’s fundamental twisting structure.
There’s a constant, faint glow all around us, leftover from the very early Universe. This is the Cosmic Microwave Background (CMB). Think of it like the sustain pedal on a piano - it helps keep the vibrations of that cosmic goo going. This CMB is everywhere (filling all of space), like a gentle bath of very low-energy light particles (softly glowing bits). It’s incredibly cold, only about -270 degrees Celsius (about -454°F), which means it provides a steady, background energy level that’s always there, like a constant, soft hum (a gentle cosmic buzz). This steady hum is crucial because it stops the vibrating goo from just collapsing and becoming completely still [keeps the cosmic fabric alive]. It’s like a background signal in radio (a steady radio hum) or that constant hum you hear when you hold down a piano pedal (a lingering note). The CMB seems to help stabilize and strengthen local twists and turns (small spinning swirls) in this cosmic goo, especially the ones that might be involved in forming things like spiral-shaped electrons [corkscrew-like particles] and stable waves that keep their shape (self-sustaining ripples). The CMB isn’t actively making the cosmic goo move; instead, it acts like a gentle, always-on stabilizer (a cosmic anchor). It’s a universal condition that’s always present, quietly sustaining the whole system (keeping the Universe humming) without pushing it in any specific direction.
I’m suggesting that our Universe is spinning, much like Dr. Kurt Gödel’s idea that Space itself has a kind of rotational energy (a cosmic twirl). In such a spinning Universe, it’s possible for Time to loop back on itself (time can circle back), and direction becomes very important.
My theory fits with his idea by proposing that the cosmic goo (cosmic fabric) has a natural tendency to twist (spinning swirls) at every single point, and that spinning is a fundamental characteristic of the Universe’s structure. We already know that the CMB shows some directional movement (a slight tilt in its glow) - it’s slightly warmer in one direction and cooler in the opposite, which we usually interpret as our galaxy moving through space. But in my model, this directional pattern in the CMB becomes proof that the entire cosmos is spinning, not just that we’re moving through it. Future CMB studies could look for signs of cosmic spin, such as subtle patterns in its light, to test this idea. The CMB’s overall sameness, combined with these subtle directional differences, acts like the master reference point for all the spinning in my cosmic goo (cosmic fabric). The CMB helps keep the Universe’s rotation steady and organized [in sync, like a cosmic rhythm]. Think of it like the spinning wheel in a clock (a steady cosmic ticker) - it keeps time moving forward in a consistent direction unless something locally disrupts it. The CMB also helps enforce the global rate of this cosmic spin, which is what makes those time loops physically possible. It might even define a threshold: local areas would need to reach or exceed a certain amount of rotational energy or vibration [spinning energy] to be able to bend time.
So, according to my theory, controlling Gravity (bending Space) and understanding why time generally moves forward could depend on either overcoming or perfectly aligning with this background rotation of the CMB. It’s like tuning an old AM radio at night - you have to find just the right frequency. The CMB’s rotation is the fundamental baseline that all local twisting phenomena must either match or work against. It represents the time structure at the cosmological scale, making the CMB the silent guide of cosmic spin. This could inspire new ways to explore gravity and time.
Key Players in the Universe connect this cosmic dance to the tiny world of particles. Imagine that the spinning swirls in the cosmic fabric shape everything, from stars to atoms. Here are the key players in this framework:
- Cosmic Microwave Background (CMB): Acts like a universal “sustain pedal,” helping maintain the vibrations and keeping the cosmic fabric’s spinning swirls in sync [a cosmic rhythm keeper]. It is both the residue and the resonator of the early Universe.
- Electrons: Corkscrew-like particles characterized by helical spin.
- Protons: Mini black hole cores, anchoring and maintaining the cosmic fabric.
- Neutrons: Stabilize protons, ensuring the integrity of the cosmic fabric’s structure.
- Photons: Light particles traveling at the speed of light, delivering instructions to charged particles.
- Neutrinos: Space-time messengers, serving as carriers of information within space-time itself.
- Dark Matter: Functions as “telephone lines,” enabling neutrinos to operate effectively.
- Bosons: Mediate interactions between charged particles.
- Quarks form the foundational components of protons.
- Higgs Boson: Imparts mass to fundamental particles, influencing their interactions and behavior.
- Antiparticles: Counterbalance forces and energy, maintaining universal equilibrium. Exploring their role, they not only maintain equilibrium and balance in the Universe, but this balance might just be the key to the natural flow of time. Altering the behavior of antiparticles could potentially allow time travel going backwards in a rotational Universe, which would align with Dr. Kurt Gödel’s ideas.
All of this could mean we have Gravity Manipulation by amplifying electromagnetic fields to achieve resonance (tuning into the cosmic rhythm).
Time, like a neutral observer, flows as a fixed Past and a fixed Future. Our free will is the Present moment, where decisions shape the Future. In this framework, Time is the “God” of the Universe, observing our choices without interfering, much like how some religions view divine presence.
