Drivers rescued after Calgary water main break floods streets

Residents in Calgary, for the second time in less than two years, are under water restrictions after a ruptured water main flooded streets and trapped people in cars on Tuesday night.
City officials became aware of the water main break around 8 p.m. on Tuesday in Calgary’s Bowness community. First responders had to rescue 13 people from eight separate vehicles.
On the evening of April 5, a heated argument broke out between Robert and Brenda Rus in the couple's Barrhaven home. Minutes later, Brenda lay strangled on the floor and Robert confessed in a text message to his son, then to a 911 operator, that he had just killed his wife. Read More
