Ottawa Now - Councillor Tierney calls for more info on bus tracking amid OC Transpo cancellations

January 13, 2026

It appears that bus cancellations at OC Transpo have reached a tipping point. As you heard last week, Ottawa was supposed to have 106 electric buses, but we only have 36 of them due to a backlog of orders. And with hundreds of bus trips getting cancelled, another councillor is calling for more transparency, asking the municipality to provide more info on bus tracking. Beacon Hill-Cyrville councillor Tim Tierney, who sits on the city’s Transit Committee, joins Kristy Cameron on today’s Ottawa Now.
