Families want Canadian provinces to end MAID opt-out policy for faith-based hospitals

As families fight to avoid forced patient transfers from faith-based hospitals that refuse to perform medical assistance in dying (MAID), an advocacy group says there are more than 100 forced transfers a year across Canada.
The news release says cabinet ministers and secretaries of state will discuss progress on the priorities laid out in their mandate letters.
