The RCMP have provided few details so far about the firearms used in the shooting and how the shooter, identified as 18-year-old Jesse Van Rootselaar, acquired them.

Dillon Lee and Lara Jamieson helped rescue a pig that had escaped from a pickup truck as it travelled last Saturday on the 417 at Carling. The pair, and the pig's owner, were eventually able to load the animal into a proper trailer.
