N.L.'s Indigenous relations minister says province reviewing Innu timeline

Newfoundland and Labrador's Indigenous Relations and Reconciliation Minister Lela Evans says the provincial government is dedicated to "true reconciliation" with Innu people, but stopped short of any endorsement of Innu history in the region extending beyond 300 years.

An investigative report by the Toronto Police Service (TPS) has found misconduct against five officers after a police-run podcast praised the post–October 7 surge of converts to Islam and was perceived to downplay Hamas support at anti-Israel rallies.
