Isn't time to reduce the amount of time our medai spends covering the US

I must admit even though I like to be up to date on current events, and I do understand the importance of knowing what is going on in the great democracy to our south, I’m suffering from over exposure.

It seems that for the past months, our media – print, cable, and online have had nothing else to report on besides the US President, the US mid-term elections, the US storms, the US fear of migrants on their borders, etc., etc.

Has there been nothing else of importance going on in the world, or in Canada?
