Kevin O'Donnell ready to represent Ottawa Centre as Green Party MPP

May 2, 2014

Green Party of Ontario Deputy Leader Kevin O'Donnell is ready to represent Ottawa Centre as the riding's new MPP.

"I'm looking forward to running for the Green Party in Ottawa Centre for the second time," said O'Donnell. "As an urban-core riding Ottawa Centre has unique challenges with traffic and congestion that can't be solved until we change how roads are paid for, development charges are captured, and property taxes are assessed. I'm frustrated with the Liberals, NDP and PCs for failing to act on these issues year after year."

Too often politicians are placeholders for their party leader and forget the job they are applying for is to represent their community at Queen's Park.

"My goal is to represent Ottawa Centre at Queen's Park first and my party's interests second. I want to be our voice for a progressive society that addresses homelessness, inequality, and climate change." said O'Donnell.
