About the author

I am an Adjunct Professor of Philosophy at the University of Ottawa, and the founder and president of the Canadian Aristotle Society.  I am also the recipient of a SSHRC research grant, and have recently become an honorary member of the Czech Aristotle Society.  I grew up in Arlington Woods.  Following my father's footsteps, I became VP and extended member of the Trend Arlington Community Association (2015-2022).  I am also a part-time musician, composer and performer.

Mark J. Nyvlt Band at Atomic Rooster

Hello everyone / Bonjour à tous et à toutes :

I invite you to a Summer Reprieve on Saturday, July 23 at the Atomic Rooster, 303 Bank St. The full Mark J. Nyvlt Band will be playing the entire evening.

By full band, I refer to the following:

Robert Libbey: guitar, mandolin, banjitar, and harmonic
Ken Kanwisher: Bass and Cello
Cyndi Kennedy: Her wonderful backup vocals
Ken Hatcher: Keyboards
Matt Aston: Drums
Zeek Gross: Saxophone and Flute
Andrew Mah: special guest, Classical Guitar

Opening the evening will be Mike McCormick. 

Where: The Atomic Rooster, 303 Bank St.

When: July 23, from 10 p.m. to 1 a.m.

Why: Why Not! 

Who: You, of course!

No Cover fee.
Please note, as you enter the Atomic Rooster, be careful of the step at the second door inside. There is an elevated lip that you need to watch for as you enter. I've tripped over it on some occasions.....

See you there. It promises to be a fun and relaxing evening.
