Monarch butterflies endured harsh winter

March 29, 2014

I'm sharing this Facebook comment to bring this Ottawa Citizen article on the fate of the Monarch butterflies to your attention...

Its very sad to hear that the Monarch butterfly population has declined again this year after a harsh winter. Its a problem we need to try to fix. I like the idea of a north-south corridor of Milk Weed. The fields around my neighborhood used to be filled with Milk Weed... and Monarchs.
