MP Karen McCrimmon to host Town Hall June 5th

May 30, 2016

In response to PM Trudeau's call for Town Hall public consultations to be held in Liberal constituencies across Canada prior to the Climate Action Plan being released, 350 Ottawa, a local grassroots environmental group, has encouraged members of the public to attend these meetings and provide suggestions for how we can best fight climate change.     Town Hall meetings have already been held in Ottawa Centre (MP Catherine McKenna) and Ottawa South (MP David McGuinty and MPP John Fraser).   Both were well-attended, and 350 Ottawa is hoping for a similar turnout at MP Karen McCrimmon's upcoming meeting as well.

On Sunday, June 5th, at 5 pm, Karen McCrimmon, MP for the constituency of Kanata-Carleton,  will be holding Ottawa's 3rd Town Hall public consultation.   This invitation extends both to her constituents and all citizens in the Ottawa region and will be taking place at the Kanata Legion, located on 70 Hines Rd. Kanata.

The event starts at 5 pm with a BBQ at which time she will be raising funds for the victims of Fort McMurray.   The Town Hall discussions will follow at 6 pm and will call for citizen's input on the issues surrounding Climate Change, National Defence and Canada Post.
