Tito Medina sings for the spirit of the water at sacred Chaudiere Falls site

December 23, 2015

An Indigenous activist from Guatemala, Tito Medina, is lending his voice to support a long-term vision for Indigenous stewardship of the Chaudiere Falls and adjacent islands in the Ottawa River.

About 120 people heard speakers and singers raise their voices in support of an Indigenous vision for a waterfall and islands that the City of Ottawa, the National Capital Commission, and two corporations would like to turn into a $1.3 billion condo/commercial/retail development.

Video of Mr. Medina was captured at a public art & activism event, OchsFest, held Dec. 19, 2015 Ottawa, ON.
