Today on Unpublished Cafe we'll dig around the edges of the issue and see if this is just a one off incident or just the first wave of the tsunami.

Since the company acknowledged that some of your information may have been exposed in the Cambridge Analytica scandal, the social media titan has seen it's share price drop dramatically and has sparked a movement of Facebook users to delete their account.

A just released Ipsos poll finds that two thirds of Canadians don't trust Facebook to protect their private info. One billion people on the planet are on Facebook which shows how prevalent it has become and for the social media giant, this is their largest scandal in it's 14 year existence.

When it comes to privacy in Canada, there are two regulations which govern: The Privacy Act, which applies to the federal public sector, and the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act, which applies to commercial activities, covers political parties.
