Saudi-Canada Relations

Today on the Unpublished Cafe podcast: Diplomatic tension is on the rise between the two countries after Canada's Global Affairs Ministry tweeted at the Saudi government, condemning the arrest of two female bloggers who have been critical of the regime. Since the tweet "heard round the world", Saudi Arabia has kicked out Canada's diplomat, pulled 15 thousand students out of Canadian universities, suspended flights between the two countries and ordered it's central bank to sell any Canadian investments it has despite the loss.

But can we be that bad if Saudi Arabia, in it's huff, will still sell more than 100 000 barrels of oil a day? Saudi oil is refined on the east coast and is the primary source for fuel in Quebec and Atlantic Canada.
