COVID-19: Canada's Travel Restrictions

The first variant case to arrive in Canada was on Boxing Day. They had not travelled but came in contact with people from the UK.

So much for staying in your bubble.

There will be very little friendliness in Canadian skies as the Federal Government has brought in new air travel restrictions to the Caribbean and Mexico. For those who are returning from an international destination, they must reserve a room in a Government of Canada-approved hotel for three nights at their own cost, and take a COVID-19 molecular test on arrival at their own cost. The new restrictions have created some anxiety and some anger in particular about the timing - but the devil is in the details.

Do you sympathize with Canadian vacation travellers who ignored government directives and now face new airline restrictions? Let us know by heading over to Unpublished.Vote to participate in our poll!
