Daniel Jutras, rector of the University of Montreal, says universities are under fire and underfunded.

The former McGill University law dean, who has spent about four decades in academia and who served as senior counsel to the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of Canada, says the public is more skeptical of expertise than ever before.
