The party to celebrate Ottawa 200 is officially underway
January 16, 2026
Mayor Mark Sutcliffe will be joined by several special guests, each with their own announcements on how the city will mark 200 years since the founding of Bytown on September 26, 1826. The guest list includes:
- Michael Crockatt, President and CEO, Ottawa Tourism
- Mark Monahan, Executive Director, Ottawa Bluesfest
- Stefanie Siska, Co-Chair, Ottawa 200 Advisory Committee
Date: Tuesday, January 20 Time: 10 am
Residents will be able to watch the event and media availability on the City’s YouTube channel.
