Hour 2 of Ottawa Now for Mon. January 19th, 2026
January 19, 2026
Public consultations are underway in Canada’s Capital this week, as Canada plans for its first-ever high-speed rail line. At first, the proposed mega project will only connect Montreal to Ottawa, but the Carney Liberals are hopeful that this is just the beginning of a broader connection with this great country. Construction, however, won’t begin until 2029. Kristy Cameron chats with Martin Imbleau, the President and CEO of Alto, in Hour 2. Plus, the Olive Garden once had a home in Ottawa. Then, it left. And now, it’s coming back. CFRA’s Chris Holski has the latest on that.
Sarah Lampert spoke to reporters Thursday night about her daughter, Ticaria, who was among eight people killed in the attack that also left the shooter dead and dozens injured.
