Frank Stronach trial delayed as defence asks for more time to review new evidence

The first trial of billionaire Frank Stronach has been delayed after the judge was asked by the defence for more time to review disclosure.

Ontario is examining legislation that would allow special constables to arrest and ticket drug users. Today, Ottawa City Council has voted 17-7 to endorse that legislation. It would also expand present-day enforcement powers to OC Transpo special constables, who would be able to arrest and fine people using drugs on public transit. The motion was moved by Rideau-Vanier councillor Stéphanie Plante. She joins Kristy Cameron on today’s Ottawa Now.
