Hour 2 of Ottawa Now for Tues. February 24th, 2026

February 24, 2026

There’s still an overwhelming number of Ontarians who do not have a primary care provider. And while the province says they are working as hard as they can to fix that, family health teams are warning that the foundation of primary care is falling apart. Kristy Cameron digs deeper with Jess Rogers in Hour 2. She is the CEO of Ontario’s Association of Family Health Teams. Meantime, today marks 4 years since Russia made its first illegal advances against Ukraine, fueling a war that is still ongoing. Russia’s President currently controls 20 percent of Ukraine, but Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy says Russia has not ‘broken’ Ukrainians, nor have they triumphed in their quest for dominance. And today, Canada has pledged further aid to the war-stricken country, on top of adding new sanctions for Russia. Retired Major-General David Fraser drops by for a visit.
