Ottawa Now - Which bus commute is the worst in Canada's Capital?
March 2, 2026
Over the course of the next few months, more and more federal workers will be returning to federal government offices. Line 1 of Ottawa’s LRT still has plenty of problems that need fixing. The next stage of LRT still hasn’t been launched yet. Ottawa’s bus fleet is feeling the burn. And if you drive a car, you might have to deal with a lot more than just high gas prices, as more and more people complain about their crappy commute times. So which transit commutes are the least reliable? CTV Ottawa is putting that question to the test all week long, from every single OC Transpo and Para Transpo bus route to the rails of the O-Train. “We will continue to closely monitor the situation and developments in the energy markets and will meet as needed to exchange information and to coordinate within the G7 and with international partners,” said a statement, following the meeting.
“We stand ready to take necessary measures, including to support global supply of energy such as stockpile release.”
