Fire erupts at Penticton encampment as province seeks injunction to dismantle site

Flames at the site next to Highway 97 broke out just before 7 a.m. No one was injured, according to the city, but a structure was destroyed.

Dillon Lee and Lara Jamieson helped rescue a pig that had escaped from a pickup truck as it travelled last Saturday on the 417 at Carling. The pair, and the pig's owner, were eventually able to load the animal into a proper trailer.
