March 4, 2026

An Ottawa city councillor is venting her frustrations over a series of prolonged road closures and construction in her ward. For many years, businesses along Richmond Road have complained about Stage 2 of LRT construction, saying it drives customers away. Meantime, a new study is displaying a sharp rise in young men who have contacted Ontario’s Mental Help Line for gambling-related problems. After private online gambling received the green light from the Ford government to set up shop, this rate has skyrocketed by more than 300 percent. We dig deeper with Nerin Kaur, the Executive Director of ConnexOntario.
