Last week, Ontario’s Minister of Education admitted that too many people don’t know how to download a digital report card. And that might have been the catalyst for an old-school comeback, as paper report cards will soon be revived from the dead. Paul Calandra recently collaborated with parents and teachers in London, assembling several ideas for a reform of what he considers a ‘fractured’ school system. It’s unclear when the report card changes will take into effect, but it’s unlikely to happen for this school year. Kristy Cameron chats with Colin Matthew, the Vice-President of the Ontario Secondary School Teachers Federation, on Ottawa Now.
A Canadian mother of four has died after undergoing cosmetic surgery procedures in Turkey, news outlets are reporting.
According to reports, 35-year-old Jessika Chagnon Gailloux of Saint-Lin–Laurentides, Que., arrived in Antalya on March 2 to undergo aesthetic surgery. She was admitted to a private hospital in the province’s Kepez district, where she underwent breast and abdominal tightening surgery, commonly called a tummy tuck.
