Growing conflict in the Middle East is creating uncertainty around the 2026 FIFA World Cup, with Iran scheduled to play matches in the United States despite the two countries now being involved in military strikes. OTTAWA — One of Canada’s leading economists is warning that the country’s already historic federal deficit is on pace to top $100 billion in the next decade.
