The National Capital Region has been placed under a Freezing Rain Warning for most of today, with a significant ice storm eager to wreak some havoc on power lines and trees. Quebec coroner Stéphanie Gamache will lead a public inquiry into the deaths of five unhoused people, which took place over the past seven months in Montreal. The city’s mayor, who was in tears in late March while announcing the deaths of two people experiencing homelessness, says the final report will include recommendations for authorities aimed at preventing such occurrences.
