Air Canada staffer charged in alleged cannabis smuggling plot at Toronto Pearson

The RCMP says an Air Canada employee is facing charges after allegedly trying to export more than 60 kilograms of cannabis out of a Toronto airport by using suitcases tagged with the names of two unsuspecting passengers.
They said the issue is that the Port Alberni Port Authority only has the capacity to power one vessel and currently, the coast guard ship, in refit, is plugged in.

OTTAWA — Finance Minister François-Philippe Champagne released a letter on Monday that he says he wrote in September, vowing not to participate in any decisions about the government-backed organization behind the proposed high-speed rail link from Toronto to Quebec City.
