Saskatchewan’s Denare Beach bracing for wildfire after last year’s destruction

As experts predict a slower start to Saskatchewan's wildfire season, a resident of ravaged Denare Beach says she is apprehensive about trusting the province's readiness this year.
At least 17 earthquakes have been recorded near Area 51, in Nevada, over the past two days, drawing attention online and speculation around nuclear testing. But Dr. Robert Shcherbakov , associate professor at the Department of Earth Sciences, Western University, says there’s a perfectly ordinary scientific explanation for the activity. In an interview with National Post, he explained: “We call these events ‘swarms’, where earthquakes or similar issues occur in a short period of time, and they’re related to changes in fluids migrating under the Earth’s surface.” The recent quakes...
