Indigenous artisan worried about upcoming Etsy ban on the sale of fur

Etsy has announced it’s banning the sale of fur items on the site in August. The Fur Institute of Canada warns the move will hit Indigenous artisans hardest, who often rely on the site as a major source of income.

OTTAWA — Canada-U.S. Trade Minister Dominic LeBlanc said that Canada “certainly won’t be the source of any delays” for the review of Canada’s trade deal with the United States, despite warnings from the U.S. trade representative that it might not meet the deadline.
