Three years after clergy-abuse case settled for $10M, victims still haven’t been paid

More than 60 victims of sexual abuse by clergy from what is now the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Halifax-Yarmouth are still waiting to be paid from a settlement that was approved in November 2022. Some are growing frustrated with the delays and what they view as a lack of information.
A jury has declared a mistrial in the case of a mother accused of killing her seven-month-old son in Ottawa in 2021 but has found her partner at the time guilty of second-degree murder.
