After a marathon inquest, a jury is deliberating on how Heather Winterstein died of sepsis after the 24-year-old Indigenous woman sought help at the St. Catharines, Ont., hospital over two days, but collapsed in the emergency department on Dec. 10, 2021, while waiting to see a doctor.
