Hour 2 of Ottawa Now for Fri. April 24th, 2026

April 24, 2026

Nearly one year ago, Sens captain Brady Tkachuk was holding back tears after the boys failed to force a Game 7 against Toronto. Tomorrow, for a second straight year, Sens Army will be staring down the barrel of a potential 4-game sweep, as the Carolina Hurricanes secured a 3-0 series stranglehold last night. The CTC boo-birds were out in full force after Ottawa closed out the middle frame with a lackluster powerplay. And if the Senators have any hope of reverse-sweeping their way out of trouble, they will have to make it happen without All-Star rearguard Jake Sanderson, who has been ruled out of Game 4 with concussion-like symptoms. CFRA alumni and Ottawa Citizen sportswriter Callum Fraser pays us a visit in Hour 2. Meantime, the sold-out Game 3 crowd might still be suffering the side-effects of last night’s shenanigans, but the Senators WAG’s are winning the day with their slick playoff jackets. CFRA’s Emma Kelly has more on that.
