Ottawa River still rising northwest of Pembroke, stable downstream

Water levels and flows on the Ottawa River are gradually rising west of Pembroke, Ont., as the snow continues melting upstream, according to Sunday's update from the river's planning board.

Crews responded to reports of a brush fire in the Rock Ridge neighbourhood of Maple Ridge, B.C., around 6:30 p.m. and worked overnight to contain it.
