A driver is facing charges under the Highway Traffic Act after a pedestrian was struck by an SUV on Friday afternoon. It happened at the intersection of Laurier Avenue and O’Connor Street, where the vehicle left the roadway and then crashed into a building after striking the pedestrian. Tim Hortons will reduce its reliance on the Temporary Foreign Workers (TFW) program as it commits to hiring 10,000 “new local team members” across Canada.
