Child in Ottawa critically injured in balcony fall

Ottawa police say a young child is in critical condition after falling from a fourth-floor balcony Wednesday, calling it the third such incident in the city in the past month.

Tom Glass, a monumental figure in Western Canadian sports history, has died after suffering a stroke at 77. As "the face of chuckwagon racing," Glass dominated the sport locally and internationally during the 1980s and 1990s.
