Most drivers speeding at 8 former camera sites, city data shows

New City of Ottawa data shows that fewer than half of drivers are complying with posted speed limits at eight former speed camera sites in May, months after the province banned automated speed enforcement.

Ottawa's public health unit says it expects its funding shortfall to more than triple from $4.5 million in 2027 to $14.7 million by 2036, and it says dwindling contributions from the province aren't helping.
