Nat'l Inuit organization looks to tackle inequality with new poverty reduction strategy

Inuit Tapiriit Kanatami (ITK) is looking to minimize socieconomic gaps between Inuit and non-Indigenous Canadians with a new poverty reduction strategy. The plan was unveiled Tuesday at the organization's headquarters in Ottawa.

The program, earlier called the Canada Greener Homes Grant program, was first launched by the federal government in 2021, but lapsed in 2024.
