Canada's newest destroyer carries on legacy of warship lost in 1940 tragedy

The first of Canada's new River-class destroyers will be named HMCS Fraser. In 1940, a previous HMCS Fraser aided in evacuating British and other Allied forces from the French coast, and later became the first Royal Canadian Navy ship to sink during the Second World War.
Thousands of fans have joined Voyageurs-led marches through Toronto and Vancouver, and on Wednesday they'll be out in force again.

The other victims were identified as 26-year-old Yoav Bomrind, an Israeli national who was piloting the plane, and 19-year-old David Rabinovich, also from Israel.
