Track incident near Gananoque, Ont. causes lengthy delays for VIA passengers

An incident along train tracks east of Gananoque, Ont. caused nine VIA Rail trains to experience delays while travelling in the area near Kingston early Tuesday afternoon, according to VIA Rail.

As part of its annual report, Metrolinx said it would write off $504 million spent on signalling work for the Union Rail Corridor section of its track, which began in 2013.
