Residents of Montreal's West Island are cleaning up after more than 150 millimetres of rain fell, with officials saying changes are needing to prepare for future rainfall.
June storms in Manitoba and Saskatchewan, along with flooding in the Montreal area, caused more than $1.1 billion in insured damage, the Insurance Bureau of Canada says.
