Hour 2 of Ottawa Now for Tues. June 23rd, 2026

June 23, 2026

It’s officially Summer in Ottawa! But if you’re driving anywhere in this city, you know your biggest delay will probably be caused by construction. Last month, we saw extensive lane closures on Highway 417 ahead of Pinecrest. It caused several delays, unexpected traffic jams, and problems for multiple wards. Should the municipality be doing more to communicate and coordinate road closures to minimize disruptions? College Ward councillor Laine Johnson joins guest host Chris Holski in Hour 2. Meantime, we’ve always been taught to stay strong. But what if the strongest thing you can do is to just let it all out? We check in for today’s edition of Self-Help Tuesday with Benslyne Avril, a psychotherapist who practices in Westboro.
