I celebrated Canada Day in Ottawa for the first time in 1982. I remember the sea of flags everywhere and on all government buildings. The atmosphere for the celebration on the Hill was fantastic. What has happened to this patriotism since then? I drove through the city last Saturday. Hardly any flags on the buildings or houses. Where is our pride?
