A report by the child and youth advocate on his investigation into the 2020 death of Olivia Rodd provides harsh criticism of the P.E.I. government and mental health services in the province, laying out instances when professionals did not follow the law and report their concerns to Child Protection Services.

Mark Carney’s teleprompter quit during a housing announcement in Toronto on Wednesday, and the prime minister used the pause to take a shot at Donald Trump. “I would like to inform you that the teleprompter has ceased to function,” Carney said. “Unlike a certain world leader, I do not view this as a conspiracy.” The crowd laughed.
