City of Calgary rescinds noise bylaw ticket for Stampede tent as complaints climb

According to the city, there were 186 noise-related complaints as of Thursday morning, up from 124 recorded over the same time period during last year's Calgary Stampede.

The entire City of Kimberley has been placed under an evacuation alert as an out-of-control wildfire burns west of the East Kootenay community. The Regional District of East Kootenay has issued a separate evacuation alert for 66 properties stretching west from Kimberley because of two separate fires.
