Ottawa Now - Crowds of frustrated flood victims sound off after getting rejected access to DRAO relief

July 17, 2026

After weeks of waiting and hoping, Ottawa residents finally heard from the Ford government today as to which areas were eligible for provincial relief from the Canada Day floods. But for many who live in the hardest-hit sections, a foul smell was in the air after they read the press release. The conversation starts with Nepean MPP Tyler Watt. And finally, we check in with Bay Ward councillor Theresa Kavanagh and College Ward councillor Laine Johnson.
