Ottawa's last supervised drug sites closed in June. So far, overdose deaths haven't spiked

It's been just over one month since Ottawa's last two supervised consumption sites shut down. While there are early reports of increased public drug use, fears of an overdose crisis so far haven't been realized — but the city's public health unit says it's still too early to identify any drug use trends connected to the closures.

According to the City of Calgary, the water main ruptured around 10 a.m. Saturday which has affected water distribution to around 20 businesses in the Bowness area.
