B.C. wildfire crews use drone to trigger controlled burn in Canadian first

The BC Wildfire Service says crews working on the Brunswick complex of wildfires near Boston Bar northeast of Vancouver used a drone to trigger a controlled burn in what it says was a Canadian first. The wildfire service says the drone was able to 'safely and precisely ignite targeted fuels' in mountainous terrain.

In his 40 years as a lobster fisherman, Robert Wagner had never seen a critter like it: a half-blue, half-orange lobster, split down the middle from head to tail. "I said, 'Wow! I've never seen that like that in my life,'" said Wagner. Oscar is now calling the Beaty Centre for Marine Biodiversity in Halifax home.
