It’s been 23 days since Canada’s Capital was ravaged by a massive rainstorm. The Canada Day floods have destroyed nearly 7,000 basements, and not all of the hardest-hit areas have qualified for provincial funding. College Ward councillor Laine Johnson says the municipality continues to negotiate with the Ford government to expand the DRAO Program, but no clear progress has been made at this time.
