Culvert repairs on Holly Acres Road beginning August 4

The Ministry of Transportation of Ontario (MTO) will begin repairs on Holly Acres Road at 7 am on Tuesday, August 4. The work is expected to be completed by noon on Monday, August 10.

Due to the extreme weather event on Wednesday, July 1, repairs are needed to the culvert at Holly Acres Road so the road can fully re-open.

The Ministry of Transportation of Ontario (MTO) will begin repairs at 7 am on Tuesday, August 4. The work is expected to be completed by noon on Monday, August 10. 

Traffic impacts

The following closures will be in place for the duration of the work:

  • The northbound Highway 416 off-ramp to Holly Acres Road will be closed.
  • Drivers exiting eastbound on Highway 417 at Holly Acres Road will only be able to turn left at the intersection towards Carling Avenue.
  • Holly Acres Road will be closed to northbound traffic between Richmond Road and the 416/417 eastbound off-ramp.
  • Holly Acres Road will be closed to southbound traffic between Carling Avenue and Richmond Road. 

Detours will be in place; motorists should observe posted signage. 

Sidewalks will be closed along Holly Acres Road, between Aero Drive and Richmond Road.

OC Transpo
  • Bus stops 4036, 0764 and 2869 along Holly Acres Road will be temporarily closed. Alternative service will be provided at Richmond Road and Holly Acres Road, or at Bayshore Station.
  • Bus Routes 60, 63, 66 and 67 will continue eastbound on Highway 417 and will bypass the stop on Holly Acres Road.
  • Bus Routes 11, 57, 81 and 88 will detour via Bayshore Drive and Woodridge Crescent to maintain service to Bayshore Station.
  • Eastbound service on bus Routes 61, 62, 158, 301 and 303 to Tunney’s Pasture and Bayshore stations will not be impacted. These routes will follow the existing detour after servicing Bayshore Station to continue towards Tunney’s Pasture Station.
  • The existing detour on the westbound Transitway, west of Bayshore Station will remain in effect as part of Stage 2 construction work.
